Located on a family run sheep farm in the heart of Romney Marsh, this charming shepherd s hut offers guests a tranquil and rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its stunning natural beauty, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage this is the perfect location for a rural family escape where children can enjoy nature and even feed the lambs during lambing season. Whether you're looking to explore the charming historic towns and villages dotted throughout the Garden of England take long walks along the coastline, or simply relax and unwind in a peaceful setting there is something for everyone. For those who want to explore the wider area, there are many local attractions to visit including Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, Port Lympe Safari Park, The Big Cat Sanctuary, and The Rare Breeds Centre all of which offer family friendly activities. Step inside this family size shepherd s hut which is furnished in relaxing colours, soft throws and cushions made from the wool from the sheep on the farm. A well equipped kitchen area offers a hob, fridge, microwave, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine and a folding table and chairs for dining offers an ideal spot for enjoying family meals together or board games in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings. There is a DAB radio for enjoying some music. The double bed sits at one end of the hut with a queen size bunk above that is perfect for children. Children will love to throw open the doors in the morning and see the lambs skipping around the meadow in front of the hut. The en suite shower room has a walk in shower and WC with an electric towel rail to ensure that guests have warm fluffy towels each morning. Heading outside there is an enclosed garden area with a swing chair and wooden chairs, there is also a picnic table for enjoying al fresco meals that you can cook with the charcoal firepit / BBQ. A secluded area with a sunken bath offers the perfect sport to relax with a glass of fizz and watch the sheep graze around you. Romney can be booked alongside Rumwold and Lookerer to accommodate up to 7 guests. Need to know: 1 bedroom double with a single bunk above for two young children or one teenager. 1 en suite shower room with WC. Electric hob, fridge, toaster, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. Welcome pack, robes and toiletries provided. Travel cot and high chair available on request (bedding not provided). Wood burner (initial supply of logs and kindling wood included). Electric radiator. Private parking for 1 car. DAB Radio. Enclosed garden area with wooden chairs, a charcoal BBQ / fire pit and a picnic table in the field. Secluded outdoor bath area. Regret no Wi Fi but 4G is available depending on your phone network. Beach 6 miles, pub 2 miles, shop 3.5 miles. A locally sourced breakfast hamper can be arranged directly with the owner.
