It resides within the owner’s 8-acre grounds and small holding, including a vineyard which guests are free to enjoy. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides access to footpaths and cycle routes, enabling you to explore the glorious, rural surroundings and enjoy horse riding and golf nearby. There is a local company from where you can hire electric bikes. Fig Cottage is ideally located for exploring Canterbury, just 9 miles away, where the skyline is dominated by its historic cathedral and is the oldest in England. For a day at the coast, towns such as Whitstable famous for its oysters, Hythe’s pebble beach, and Sandgate with interesting antique shops, are all well worth a visit. There is easy access to the Eurostar and the Channel Tunnel for those looking for something further afield in France, so don’t forget to bring your passport! Something closer to home is the local pub, where it not only feeds the family after a day’s exploring, it also provides a venue for craft fairs and farmers’ markets, and won an award for ’Kent pub of the year’ in the Kent life awards. We really enjoyed our short stay in Fig Cottage, its in an excellent location, has a great atmosphere, and provides all you need to enjoy your time away. Would highly recommend and looking forward to another visit! Thanks!

Sehr schönes gemütliches Cottage das wunderbar ruhig gelegen ist. Ca 15 Minuten von Ashford entfernt und gut zu erreichen. In der Nähe findet sich ein Pub (Max 10 Minuten Fußweg). Sehr saubere Anlage auf einem Weingut mit viel Freiraum mit Grill und schöner Sitzgelegenheit im Garten. Im Sommer sicher wunderbar. Von innen ist es gehoben eingerichtet mit sehr schöner Küche und einem wunderbaren Ofen. Wir wurden von einem tollen Welcome Package überrascht. Die Zimmer zum schlafen hatten ein angenehmes Raumklima und ausreichend verdunkelbar. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern auf dem Gelände war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Alles in allem sehr gut und gerne wieder.
