About this property

A charming Kentish barn conversion situated in the centre of the glorious Weald of Kent, close to the village of Pluckley, this abode is ideal for a peaceful family, romantic or walking holiday.

Surrounded by the splendid English countryside, this delightful listed barn (dated pre-1700s) is set in the grounds of the owners’ farmhouse and gardens in Egerton Forstal. Fascinatingly, it’s only a short drive away from the most haunted village in Britain, Pluckley.

The barn offers bright and spacious rooms including an open plan sitting / dining room with wooden beams which is ideal for entertaining, dining together with the family or maybe for a romantic candlelit dinner. This holiday barn in Kent radiates warmth, inviting guests within its walls, the furnishing is dressed in a traditional style displaying various British artefacts including a Magna Carta scroll combined with touches of international and oriental art.

The quaint country style kitchen is equipped with all desired amenities including a marble topped breakfast table, perfect for the most important meal of the day. Very conveniently, the large family bathroom is located on the ground floor too.

And such extravagance upstairs! The sumptuous spacious oak four poster king-size bed on the 1st floor with its own en-suite bathroom, overlooking the garden and fields, will make you feel like the Lord or Lady of the manor. The evenly generous twin bedroom is perfect for the children, or which can also be made into a king-size bedroom. The owners are happy to arrange a cot and highchair for any little members of the family in any of the bedrooms.

A fully enclosed triple aspect garden promises sun whatever the time of day. In summer relax in the all-weather rattan garden sofa and two arm chairs with a glass of bubbly in hand or relish al-fresco dining with a BBQ, summer would not be the same without it!

Your holiday would not be complete without spoiling yourself with a visit to the nearby quintessential Rose & Crown pub in Mundy Bois, Pluckley. A true Gastro Pub and Ghostly experience!
