The Sail Loft in Yarmouth boasts a superb location with stunning views across the Solent, providing a perfect base for exploring the Isle of Wight. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the convenience of nearby attractions. While some furnishings and appliances are noted as dated, the charm of the property and its exceptional setting often outweigh these concerns.
The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it tidy upon arrival. However, some mention cobwebs and dust in hard-to-reach places, slightly lowering the score.
The location is highly praised for its stunning sea views and proximity to local attractions, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore the area.
Guests find the apartment cosy and warm, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, some guests mention issues with early morning light due to broken blinds and dated furniture, affecting the overall comfort level.
While the property is appreciated for its basic amenities, several reviews cite the need for maintenance and updates on appliances, blinds, and taps. The lack of modern conveniences such as a DVD player and updated television is also noted.
There is insufficient information to accurately score thoughtfulness. While some guests mention a lack of welcome gifts compared to other properties, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and such amenities are not guaranteed.

Flat is in the loft, which we also should have realised meant it'd be hot and stuffy, we couldn't open the windows because of the midges. This was our mistake when booking. Also reduced head room in many areas, the furniture has been rearranged since the photos were taken, making head banging more likely. More than 4 items of each cutlery (knife, fork etc) would be useful. No welcome pack or info about the area, including local shops which meant we were fumbling with Google after a long day travelling. Neighbouring cafe only open during the day, so didn't bother us with noise, but caused challenges for parking when open. Septic tank was also rather whiffy. Firm beds, small fridge, no cleaning products, other than washing up liquid. No towels which I only realised when the owner called about key collection.

Plenty of windows to open and also appreciated was the velux blind in the bedroom for a darker room. It is spacious and the photos show the space well. It would be 5* if it was updated but I'd rather pay less than pay towards an update. There were no handy leaflets etc although we had already checked what to do on line. Either there is a new mattress on the double bed or previous comments were very picky it seemed good to us. No keysafe which is unusual these days but the owner was very responsive anytime we contacted

However, Wifi was poor, door lock for the bathroom was not working. Overall, the view of the property is 10/10.
