Guests say

Sail Loft Annexe is a cosy, well-located cottage ideal for couples and dog owners seeking a peaceful seaside break. Guests consistently praise its proximity to the beach, scenic walks, and the friendly, helpful owner. The adjacent café is a highlight for many. While some mention the property could benefit from updating and deeper cleaning, most find it comfortable and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. Repeat visits are common, reflecting overall satisfaction. Occasional issues with damp, maintenance, and bedding are noted, but the tranquil setting and value for money are frequently commended.

Most guests found the property acceptably clean, but several reviews mention areas needing more thorough cleaning, such as dusting, cobwebs, and occasional leftover rubbish. Some guests felt the bedding was not fresh, while others described the property as very clean. Overall, cleanliness is adequate but could be improved.

The location is widely praised, with direct beach access, beautiful views, and easy walks to Yarmouth and Fort Victoria. The peaceful setting and proximity to a popular café are major positives. Some mention the lack of a sea view from the annexe, but the overall setting is highly valued.

Guests generally find the annexe cosy and comfortable, with many returning for multiple stays. However, some mention issues with the mattress, bedding, and small shower. The property is compact but adequate for two people and a dog, with warmth and quietness appreciated.

Facilities are considered good for the size, with most essentials provided. Some guests note the need for updates, better shower, improved kitchen equipment, and minor maintenance. The café next door is a valued amenity. Occasional issues with hot water, heating, and lack of freezer space are mentioned.

The owner is frequently described as friendly and helpful, and some thoughtful touches like a torch for dark evenings are appreciated. However, there are no consistent mentions of welcome gifts or extras, and towels were not always provided as expected. Please note that any gifts or extras mentioned are not guaranteed.

It is a studio apartment which does not face the beach. However this is ok for us as we are out all day and when we come back in the evening we sit round the front. The studio is basic but suits our needs. As we were in the middle of a heatwave I asked John, the owner, if we could borrow a fan, which he lent to us. Thank you John. We will be back next year.
