If you go down to the woods today, you’ll never believe your eyes...

Hidden down winding lanes and set amongst some of the most breathtaking scenery on the Isle of Wight is Couthy Butts, the last remaining 16th Century Georgian cottage on the island.

In the true definition of a chocolate box cottage you will find that the characteristic thatched roof and feature stone walls whisk you into your very own story where fairy tales really could come true. A place where you can experience the best of both worlds when you look out onto the surrounding country hills whilst inside you have the luxuries of high quality furnishings with a modern décor.

On the ground floor you will find a well equipped kitchen, an open plan lounge/dining area, a double bedroom and the family bathroom. Upstairs you will find a little quiet seating area and two double bedrooms with fantastic views of the surrounding rolling hills.

From your front door you can take long walks across St Catherine Down or ride a horse down the ancient tree lined track ways. If you want to enjoy all that the South and West Wight has to offer, you will find that staying here will make you ideally located. It’s only a short drive from the popular family attraction, Blackgang Chine, Ventnor’s sandy beach and the local pubs in the charming villages of Niton and Whitwell.

If you want to get away from it all with your friends or want unlimited space for your kids to explore and play, this is the cottage for you. They even have an extensive paddock and are close to some great bridal routes for you if you want to bring your horse on holiday!
