Nimrod is a deceptively large, cliff top Victorian Villa which comfortably sleeps eight people over three floors. Lovingly renovated and ultra-modern, the contemporary décor and stylish furnishings make this a very sought-after holiday home.
On the ground floor there is a lovely sociable open-plan dining and kitchen area with access to a private walled courtyard with steps up to a decked area. You also have the choice to dine in three areas, at a dining table off the kitchen, at the breakfast bar or in the front dining room. This well equipped kitchen also offers a Rayburn and large American fridge freezer.
On the first floor you will find a bright large lounge with a large L shaped sofa where you can enjoy the stunning views of Ventnor’s coastline and the English Channel. On this floor you will also find a large family bathroom.
The house has four bedrooms including a master bedroom, two double bedrooms (one including a shower) and a twin room all dressed with 100% Egyptian Cotton, 400 thread count linen. From the rear bedrooms you have beautiful views of St Boniface Downs. The unique master bedroom definitely has the wow factor with its fantastic views of Ventnor’s coastline as well as a roll top bath, his and hers sinks and walk-in shower in the room itself.
Nimrod is a short walk from Ventnor’s Blue Flag beach and the children’s paddling pool. There are also several very popular restaurants and pubs in walking distance including the famous Spyglass Inn, Met Bar, Hillside, The Royal Hotel as well as The Hamborough. ...sunrise is obstructed by a residential block; ACCOMODATION Kitchen is very small for such a big property; Apart from the massive walk in shower on the 3rd floor the other showers are quiet tight for space; Wonderful collection of books in the front dining area. TV very small in teh living room and only one bedroom had a tv in it 0 which was lilliputian. Beds very comfortable except for the two singles (kids beds). Read the recycling rules....quiet stressful when you are on holiday, but you dont want to be caught short! AREA The best pub in town is The Rose Inn - brilliant jukebox with 20,000 songs; free POOL and a warm welcome; Freshly made bread available from Canteena cafe; Walking around the town is excellent and the coastal walk from town to the Botanical gardens is amazing especially if you get Mr Blue Sky Weather; Submitted by The 4 East London Foodies on 05/12/2016

...listening to live honky tonk piano playing. Chat to the locals - they are upliftingly friendly, especially Lesley of Lesley's Nutshell (a little shop not far from Nimrod, selling nik naks). Make uae of the binoculars in the living room window - it's a fab view without but it's nice to see that ship on the horizon a little closer. Go in the winter and light the fire - such a gorgeous, comforting, welcoming house you can pretend is your own for the duration of your stay! Submitted by Lucy on 24/11/2016

...stunning inside and out, the sea views are amazing. The location is fantastic for exploring Ventnor, the coastal path is on your doorstep and the beach, pubs, cafes and shops are just around the corner. The house is so well equipped with everything you may need, it caters for everyone. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, very cosy and warm even though it's a huge house. We were a family of 6 plus 2 dogs, including grandparents and young children and the house met all our needs. The ground floor Kitchen, dining space with its slate floor was so practical for the dogs. The lounge on the first floor was so comfortable and inviting with beautiful views out to sea.
