Beautifully presented, this superb Victorian house offers spacious, well-equipped holiday accommodation and has been lovingly restored. It enjoys a wealth of character and original features such as high ceilings and sweeping carved wood staircase, combined with modern kitchen and bathroom (one of which has a romantic freestanding Victorian roll-top bath with open fire). Situated in one of Ventnor’s most scenic areas opposite the attractive park, the cottage is a short stroll from the esplanade, botanical gardens, beach, local pubs and restaurants. Shop 1/2 mile.

Stayed in this beautiful house during the last week of November. 3 Large bedrooms and bathrooms with a very spacious sitting room with TV and access to Netflix and NOW TV.Very clean though out and with a welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. The house benefits from off road parking on a fairly quiet road. Its only a 10 minute walk into Ventnor either to the town centre or down the hill to the pub on the seafront. Though is a steep hill on the way back from there.Nice rear garden too for when the weather is warm and sunny.

We loved this house, it felt like staying in a friends house, lovely welcoming touches in each room like flowers, a lovely foodie welcome pack with fruit and chocolates which were enjoyed during the week. The house was full of character, we appreciated having a bathroom for each bedroom, ours had two sinks! Highly recommended.

We’ve just come back from an amazing stay at Candlelight Cottage and couldn’t have been happier. The house is spacious, beautifully presented, and we were delighted with the thoughtful welcome pack on arrival the best we have ever received! Having a TV and fresh flowers in every room was a lovely touch, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept brilliantly each night.The location is ideal—just a couple of minutes’ drive to Ventnor seafront and perfectly placed for a visit to The Spyglass Inn for great food and drinks. Candlelight Cottage really made our trip special, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we return to the Isle of Wight.
