We had a wonderful stay at Monument House and would happily return. The house is absolutely beautiful, in a lovely location with stunning gardens and so many thoughtful touches throughout. We especially loved all the artwork and unique details around the property, which gave it a real sense of character and made our stay feel extra special. One of the highlights was the amount of space available. There were two families sharing the house, but it never felt crowded because there were so many different areas to relax and enjoy. The sweeping balconies around the top floor were fantastic, providing beautiful views and lovely spots to sit and unwind. We also enjoyed the seating area by the hot tub, the two balcony areas, and the private patios outside two of the bedrooms. The open-plan layout worked brilliantly and flowed beautifully between the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Whether sitting in the comfortable chairs by the kitchen looking out over the garden, relaxing on the sofas, or enjoying one of the outdoor spaces, there was always somewhere peaceful to spend time. It struck the perfect balance between being sociable and offering plenty of room for everyone to spread out.My favourite moment of the whole stay was sitting on the balcony at around 8pm, watching the sun set over the sea. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect way to end the day.The gardens were beautifully maintained and provided a lovely backdrop to the whole stay. We also really appreciated the restaurant recommendations provided by the hosts, which were excellent and helped us make the most of our visit.A fantastic property with so much thought put into every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Monument House to anyone looking for a special getaway. We would definitely visit again.
