The island is surprisingly easy to reach and only a couple of hours from London, with regular ferries running from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington. Seascape is a one bedroom ground floor apartment, ideal for couples. It has an open-plan living space and benefits from its own enclosed private garden to the rear with views overlooking the English Channel. The master bedroom has a luxury kingsize bed and patio doors leading to the garden. It also has one allocated parking space in the underground parking area. All properties have use of the communal landscaped gardens, where the private gated access leads straight on to the cliff path which leads down to the esplanade and revetment below.

Sandown is a truly traditional British beach resort with pier, amusements and the Isle of Wight Zoo, as well as Sandham Garden’s play area, with go karting, sky nets and crazy golf. The town is brimming with attractions to entertain visitors, most of them right on the beach front itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. Should you enjoy a coastal walk, you can walk the length of the bay from Yaverland along the seaside revetment, all the way to the popular neighbouring town of Shanklin. If you like to learn about the history of a place, then the Isle of Wight has pre-historic monuments, Roman villas and military history a-plenty! There are a range of beautiful historic houses and gardens open to the public too. Don’t forget the Botanic Gardens with their own micro-climate nearby in Ventnor!

If you are keen on an active holiday, Sandown Bay is hugely popular with watersports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather. Outdoor pursuits on the island really are well-catered for, and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding and golf.

There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and Gardens, or perhaps Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK. Whatever you decide, one thing is for sure, Royal Cliff Luxury Apartments and the island have plenty to offer to make your holiday a memorable one.

Seascape is a well located and comfortable apartment, ideal for couples. There is plenty to do within easy reach. The beach is an easy walk down, but it might be more of a challenge getting back up for some visitors. The owners make every effort to provide good information about the facilities. We had a lovely week staying here.

The apartment was clean and tastefully furnished. A lovely spot, on the cliffs overlooking the sea. An ideal spot to explore the island. The only negative thing was Sandown itself which has lots of empty shops and lacks places to eat.
