The chic kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up some dinner for your loved ones and the welcoming lounge/diner is a great place to get together where there’s plenty of room for everyone to eat together around the dining table. Alternatively, make your way outside to the fully enclosed garden, light up the fire pit BBQ and enjoy an al fresco dinner. As the sun sets you can enjoy a little bit of stargazing or head back indoors to the lounge/diner to relax in front of the electric wood burner-effect fire. At the end of the day, make your way upstairs and you’ll discover that you have a choice of three lovely bedrooms.

Pack up a picnic and head to the beach for the day – you’ll be spoilt for choice with Sandown (7.5 miles), Seaview (10.5 miles) and Ventnor (10 miles) all nearby. Alternatively, spend a glorious afternoon at Carisbrooke Castle (3 miles), where Charles I was once held prisoner, or head into the idyllic village of Godshill (4 miles) to check out its thatched cottages, gift shops and pubs. Or visit Queen Victoria’s impressive Italianate residence at Osborne House (6.5 miles). The gardens sweeping down to the sea are an absolute delight to discover.
