Situated in a superb elevated location, Solent Lawns is a highly desirable New-England style house only 200 yards from the Gurnard seafront.
You will instantly appreciate the subtle blends of modern day living and comfort which mould together perfectly into this reverse-level house. On the ground floor, the bedrooms provide a perfect area for sleep and relaxation, whilst on the first floor you will find a large open plan living space which includes a kitchen and dining area. From here you can open patio doors onto a large, glass, frameless balcony where you can dine, relax and enjoy the vista.
During summer, you can witness the parade of thousands of yachts competing in various sailing regattas and the ’Round the Island’ race from the comfort of your own balcony whilst treating yourself to some wine. There’s also a useful separate laundry/utility room for when you’ve just got straight off the beach.
Solent Lawns is a short walk away from the village shops, a café, Gurnard Green with a children pirate park, a pub and a popular, award-winning restaurant. Nearby Cowes can be accessed along the seafront, where there are a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants

Fantastic location and well appointed property. The only negatives for us were the lack of a welcome pack which we’ve had offered in all other properties we’ve stayed in on the island (this being our 3rd trip this year) and the bath towels could do with replacing.

Solent lawns is a lovely house we enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. It was equipped with all we needed. The views from the balcony were lovely even on a gray day. The use of binoculars was a great touch.

Excellent location and plenty of space, but disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. The bins were disgusting, settee stuck up with gaffer tape, near empty hand soap, and no toilet roll whatsoever. Quite a few light bulbs out. Kitchen sink tap very loose, basin tap loose and basin waste plug not working. No bin bags and no instructions on recycling. The whole house needs redecorating. Generally poor maintenance. This property has the potential to be very special in a great location but is let down by poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness.
