Externally, the property has access to an enclosed courtyard with barbecue and picnic bench, ideal for sitting out in the evening sun. Less than a mile away is the magnificent Bembridge beach where you can walk along the shore and watch the boats make their way in and out of the harbour. For the more daring, why not have a go at windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking or deep-sea fishing? Bembridge has a lively community and offers several independent shops, including a butcher, baker, greengrocer and a fishmonger. When travelling by car, the whole island can be explored within an hour, meaning that guests of all tastes have something to enjoy with popular attractions such as Ryde, Newport, Cowes and Yarmouth all within 20 miles. Resting on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight behind the spectacular headland of Culver, Bembridge is claimed to be the biggest village in England. The village boasts a sheltered harbour, three beaches and an airport. There is also a lively community which offers a good choice of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Bembridge has won 'Village of Year' in the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards 2019, calling it a wonderful coastal setting.
