About this property

This retreat is on the fringes of medieval Winchester. A homely rural property and lovely venue for a special celebration.

Enmill Barn commands a private rural setting just moment from the Cathedral City of Winchester. The Barn is a large property which has been transformed into a large homely celebration house. Pride of place is the large sitting room come games room with comfortable sofas surrounding an expansive open fire. This room with its double height exposed roof beams give the property a luxurious feeling of space for groups to spread out, or even get more energetic around the table tennis table! This room overlooks the enclosed garden and has the additional benefit of a mezzanine snug with games and additional sleeping for 3 in bunks.

Dining will be taken care of in the large centrally placed rustic dining room overseeing the garden; the dining room is large enough to accommodate your entire group for all those special celebratory meals. Adjacent is the peaceful countryside kitchen complete with an Aga and espresso machine. Further on the second lounge offers a more intimate environment for after dinner drinks and nightcaps in front of the roaring fire.

The bedrooms are spaciously equipped with an array of double and twin beds and extend over both the ground and first floors, many with views of the countryside you will not soon forget; with so many options you will find there is a room suitable for all generations. There is also a lovely master double ensuite bedroom. The two ground floor bedrooms benefit from ensuite facilities. Other bedrooms have access to the large family bathroom on the first floor whilst also having the benefit of basins in the bedrooms.

Outside, the enclosed garden which follows the curvature of the house benefits from commanding views of the rolling Hampshire countryside. Sports lovers will be spoilt by the barn’s own private floodlit tennis court which will allow any friendly tournaments to extend into the evenings from which you can enjoy the sunset, while the younger generations will also be entertained with their own mini football pitch complete with mini goalpost. A delightful alfresco eating area sits on a patio above the lawn looking south where you can drink in the last of the summer sunshine and while away those long summer evenings.

A stay at Enmill Barn would perfectly suit a family looking for a spot to celebrate or a group of friends looking to relax in style at this beautiful house with the added benefit of having the historical and cultural delights of Winchester within a very short distance.
