The natural and landscaped grounds are shared with the owner and there is easy access to a walkway down to the village with its lovely pub or the famous hiking trail The Test Way which runs alongside the property. Dogs are welcome and are sure to love their holiday as well.

We had a great stay at River Test Cottage. Everything was very comfortable and the views were amazing. The space worked well for us and for our dog - she loved the garden and all the countryside walks. These were very varied, with forests, hills, and the lovely Test valley to explore right from the door of the cottage. Thanks to the hosts for providing helpful recommendations for places to visit locally. We especially enjoyed the nearby pubs, the Black Chalk Winery, and the local village shops.

A beautiful spot. Beautiful views! Beautiful little town. Sadly there's a road right behind the apartment, with lots of traffic in the night and early morning. The apartment wasn't very clean at our arrival. Everywhere dust, coffee machine dirty, showerdrain clogged etc. The furniture is old, chairs worn out and loose legs. The items are outdated and in need of replacement. We visited several addresses in the UK and at all other places we had a warm welcoming, by the hosts and there were some goodies. This was all missing at River Test view. It feels like a revenue model...... not very welcoming..

We spent two nights in River Test View and simply loved it! We enjoyed the view, quietnes and the very charming atmosphere of the place. Beds were very comfortable, the rooms were spotles. We would definitely come back.
