The Little Granary receives high praise for its charming size, picturesque location, and friendly owners. Guests enjoy the peaceful setting, proximity to the New Forest, and the presence of farm animals. While some mention minor issues with comfort and maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Reviews consistently mention the property being spotless, with only one mention of dog hair affecting a child's eczema, which was not visible prior to play. The high standard of cleanliness is frequently commended.
The property is lauded for its quiet, picturesque setting near the New Forest and coast, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. The tranquil pond and wildlife add to the appeal, although one review mentioned a lack of secure outdoor space for pets.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. Many find the property cosy and sufficient for their needs, but there are comments about the bed's comfort, lack of sofa, and small steps without a handrail. The property is described as compact, which may not suit everyone.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property providing necessary self-catering equipment. Some guests suggest improvements such as a stronger shower and larger TV, and there are minor maintenance issues like loose taps and light fittings not working.
There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While some guests mention a lack of welcome pack, which could indicate thoughtfulness, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and no gifts are mentioned.
West Park Farm, in the very pretty, historic village of Rockbourne is part of a working beef and arable farm. You are welcome to explore here - there is a large pond, bluebell wood and occasionally you may be able to help the owner with day to day farm tasks. There is also a hard tennis court which guests can enjoy, but please bring your own racquets. What was once a small granary has been converted into an attractive, detached studio. Small but perfectly formed, much thought has been given to providing everything you'll need without cluttering the compact space. The high raftered ceiling makes the living area feel spacious and the neat kitchen area has a two-ring halogen hob and a multi-function microwave, adequate for preparing simple meals. With pleasant views overlooking neighbouring fields and a natural pond, The Little Granary is an ideal retreat.
On the banks of the River Avon, Fordingbridge offers a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants and a local museum. The town has seven arches of the Great Bridge. The New Forest National Park is 1.5 miles away, with picturesque villages, pubs, and acres of rugged moor, heath and woodland with wild ponies. The Elizabethan manor house at Breamore, the New Forest Water Park, and the home of the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, are attractions of the area.

Cosy and warm with nice decor the Granary is the smallest of three guest accommodations on the farm. The WiFi and cooking equipment was all good. Just donât forget to bring your own towel.

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease in the tranquil and picturesque setting. The view of the pond was absolutely breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for our getaway. The accommodation itself was cozy, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering every comfort we could ask for. The attention to detail made it feel like a true home away from home. My dog loved exploring the nearby surroundings and lounging by the pond while I soaked in the peaceful atmosphere. Itâs rare to find a place that combines such beauty, comfort, and pet-friendly hospitality. The Little Granary exceeded all my expectations and provided us with a much-needed escape. I canât recommend it highly enough for anyone looking to unwind in a stunning rural settingâwhether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with your furry companion. Iâm already looking forward to my next visit!

Bathroom tap could use some oil as quite stiff and flush button on toilet was loose. Kitchen had everything we needed and bed was very comfortable. Bring a small car as parking space is tight.
