This super, unique, detached beach house includes two converted railway carriages, one of only a few to be seen along the south coast and enjoys a fabulous location directly on the seafront. Step onto the pebble beach via your private gate from the enclosed garden and enjoy miles of pebble/sandy beach – a haven for all ages, including children and dogs all year round! From the front it is deceptive, having been substantially extended, but once you approach the side entrance, the original features can be easily seen. Inside, the traditional carriage doors remain, and many of the rooms are set inside the former train carriages. Southern Bell offers tastefully styled, light, and airy holiday accommodation for families - with an enclosed patio garden, plenty of off-road parking and a short walk from the local shops, eateries/pubs, and harbour/sailing club. Hayling Island is renowned for its kitesurfing and sailing activities and local paddle - boarding and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national kitesurfing event, and a plethora of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline. Many activities can be enjoyed locally, including golf, fishing, cycling, boat trips and scenic walks along the water’s edge or along the South Downs National Park which are within easy reach. Chichester with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman Villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races is worthy of a visit. Visit Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, Historic Dockyard including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose, or the maritime history at Southampton. Winchester, with its cathedral and abbey, and The New Forest are within easy driving distance. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens can also be discovered nearby. Beach 5 yards. What a lovely property with great views, loved the train carriage rooms. Very spacious. Clean, comfortable, lovely welcome pack which even had treats for the dogs. It's was great spending time as a family with the kitchen longe diner. Large fridge freezer. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you Clive.

We spent a glorious week here , although we maxed out the accommodation with nine family members ranging from 65- 6. The owner Clive is very helpful & informative he also responded extremely quickly when we had a query.We don’t have any negative comments only very happy family memories its a wonderful place to stay ;)

Wow! What a super family holiday we had. My grandsons loved the querkiness of this property with getting to actually sleep in a train carriage. It's a very spacious, well equipped property. There is a gate from the back garden that leads onto a bund and a pebbly beach. The grandkids loved trying to find lucky stones!. They enjoyed collecting and painting the bigger flat stones. Clive the owner was very helpful and left a welcome pack and a very detailed manual of the history of the carriages and the surrounding area. It was an exceptionally warm week but fortunately there were fans provided. There's an esplanade that runs along the back of the property which leads to several coffee shops. The garden is very safe. I would deffinately recommend this property.
