Set amongst the olive trees in a secluded, quiet and peaceful location, Olive Tree House is a unique, oak clad, romantic bolt hole boasting stunning rural views. The village of Ripe is within walking distance and the historic town of Lewes and the Sussex coast are both just an easy 20 to 30 minute drive away.
Tastefully decorated in a traditional rustic cabin style, Olive Tree House has a cosy authentic feel with internal timber clad walls, floors and ceilings throughout. The living space is open-plan and has all you need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is well-equipped including an electric Aga and the dining and sitting area is complete with a cosy wood burning stove. French doors lead out onto the landscaped deck, which overlooks the beautiful gardens. When it's time for bed, slide back the barn door to reveal the romantic bedroom suite with its own doors to the terrace. Here you can soak in the decadent slipper bath before climbing into the comfortable cast iron super-king size bed. The owners have really thought of everything, there is even a wall mounted fire in the bedroom to keep you toasty and warm on cooler evenings. After a refreshing night’s sleep, the invigorating rain shower in the en-suite wet room is the perfect way to start your day.
Outside, enjoy the breath-taking rural views from the raised, balconied terrace or climb down to the wood fired, eco hot tub to soothe away the day. As night falls, light the fire pit and enjoy starry evenings and the sound of nearby wildlife.
Don’t forget your walking boots as there are an array of wonderful country walks and woodlands to explore. Ripe has an excellent village shop providing an abundance of fresh produce, a good selection of wines, a café with homemade treats, a pop up pub; and there’s also a fish and chip van that visits the village on Thursdays.
The historic market town of Lewes offers restaurants, cafés, independent retailers, antique shops and a farmer’s market on the first Saturday of every month. The glorious Sussex coast can be reached in under half an hour’s drive where breath-taking cliff top walks and stunning seascapes are waiting to be discovered.

Sorry, no children; an infant up to two years of age is welcome. Please note there is a pond approx 90 cm in depth in the garden and therefore not suitable for children.
Travel cot, highchair and stair gate available on request.
Two small to medium well-behaved dogs (or one large dog) welcome (small additional charge).
Bedding is non-feather.

A beautiful property, really well appointed. Everything you need for a quiet and/or romantic time away. Communication was good and the property owner very friendly. Very secure area for a dog immediately surrounding the house, as well as access to a similarly secure big field for a dog to run in. Plenty of walks nearby (though bring boots for soggy weather!) and the shop in nearby Ripe has everything you need, plus great coffee. Would heartily recommend

Had a lovely long weekend, definitely recommend Ripe village stores, cake and ready meals and fresh things all excellent (also pricey). Property was nice and cosy, bed very comfy. Wood fired tub lovely but a bit faffy as you needed to plan (2+ hrs) to get it warm. The field at the back was brilliant for the dog and plenty of walks from the door. Parking a bit tight but manageable. Couldnât put the bins out as already full and recycling info not in the house. Kitchen reasonably well appointed and Aga, well, itâs an Aga ð. If you want a quiet time it works well, if you have a super nervous dog you should be aware other pups may be in the field, wasnât an issue for us. Loved the pond, managed to stop Baxter using it as a water bowl!
