Fishing trips can be enjoyed from the harbour and on Thursdays the town buzzes with its famous market, where you can buy everything from homemade bread to freshly-grown vegetables. However you can't go home without enjoying a Sussex cream tea as you watch the world go by, whilst planning your return trip to this lovely Rye cottage. Noise and vibration from the road outside which affected anyone sleeping in the front bedroom. Warm and comfortable pen plan seating area. Kitchen well equipped but needed more wine glasses. Key for front door was slightly bent so really difficult to use.

Nowhere is it made clear that the property is on a very busy road which could be dangerous for young children. Cooker knobs loose, one falling off. Few stains on bed linen/duvets but on the whole the property is clean and well kitted out. No egg cups. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the problems that come with property lets. No reference to rubbish collection re recycling and days of collection. Hope this is helpful.

The layout works really well. The car park space was a godsend. We had a great week visiting family but they need to up their cleaning (hairs in bath). We were surprised there was no milk on arrival as an early response from the owner was that they usually supply some. We emptied the vacuum cleaner as it was full and the filter was blocked so wasnât picking anything up. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
