About this Bed and Breakfast

Claverton Country House is an elegant Edwardian property surrounded by landscaped gardens in Battle, Sussex. The area is steeped in 1066 history and it offers plenty of opportunity for sightseeing, walks, cycling and bird watching. There's also the Car Taylor Vineyard, producer of award-winning wines, within walking distance. If you fancy venturing further afield there are beautiful beaches at Winchelsea, Camber Sands and Hastings. 

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Seven rooms are available at Claverton: King Size Four Poster; Deluxe Twin/Superking; King Size Sleigh Bed; Deluxe King Size; Garden Suite; Compact Double. Each room is elegantly furnished and includes tea/coffee making facilities, a mini bar, fan, safe, and LCD flat screen TV.

A full English breakfast is included in the room rate.

The special Garden Suite is ideal for families or a small group looking for a bit of extra privacy. It was originally a large room, but has since been divided into three smaller ones. Contained within is a double, twin room, lounge/dining area, fully fitted kitchen, en-suite bathroom, and large private garden.

The Dining Room

Open for fine dining on Friday/Saturday and available for a more relaxed bar bistro menu Monday to Thursday is The Dining Room. Only the finest ingredients are used and where possible they're locally sourced. Please visit the website to see the wine list and the bistro bar and fine dining menus.

Claverton House makes for a superb wedding venue, and the secluded location, coupled with landscaped gardens and countryside views means you're going to truly have a day to remember. Prices start from £1,500 and that includes a stay in the four poster honeymoon suite. A luxury marquee and exquisite catering options are also available.

From the M25:

Travelling South on the A21 Bluemans Lane is located on the left at Kent Street 1km south of Sedlescombe Golf Course. We are the first house on the right 100 meters from the junction of Bluemans Lane and the A21.
