The Library Suite offers a peaceful stay in a country setting, ideal for nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility. Guests appreciate the property's history, garden, and the welcoming host. While some find the suite well-equipped and comfortable, others note areas for improvement.
One review mentions a strong smell of damp and mould, suggesting issues with cleanliness. However, there are no other comments to corroborate this, so the score reflects a potential concern rather than a consistent problem.
The property is described as being in the countryside with a good pub nearby and nature all around, ideal for peaceful stays and dog walking. The need for a car due to distance from town is noted, which may affect convenience for some.
Mixed feedback on comfort, with guests enjoying the bed and linen but finding the lounge furniture and light in the bedroom less comfortable. The presence of a good pub nearby and the peaceful environment contribute positively to the comfort score.
Guests report a lack of instruction books and limited kitchen utensils, with some areas of the property off-limits. However, positives include good wifi and smart TV. The mention of maintenance issues with steps and electrical items affects the score.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. As such, we cannot provide a score in this category.

This is the worst cottage we have stayed in over the 40 plus years of using English Country Cottages and Cottages.com. The approach was not well maintained and the steps to the property breaking up. Some worrying electrical items were left inside. There was a sauna we were instructed not to use and an upstais area again not to be used. The cottage was ill equipped inside and smelled strongly of damp and mould. I would have left immediately if we had not arranged to meet our son the next day. There was no instruction books or visitor book or recommedations. We usually find a list of local food shops, restaurants doctors etc. The only instruction book we found was for the microwave.I have never before felt so disappointed and let down by our accommodation.

lovely old country house with great garden. We stayed in the annex. The dog loved the garden. Nice place to wake up to in the morning. Lots of history around the house and out buildings. Out in the countryside, with a good pub close by. Plenty of space to park the car. Bedroom needs some kind of blind over the tall window, far to much light to allow a good night's sleep. Limited kitchen utensils for when you are preparing your own meals. The distance to the nearest town/ village to visit the restaurants is around a mile with no pavements so a car is esential. The owner was very pleasant and always around.
