Guests say

Barn Suite offers a charming and characterful stay in a beautiful countryside setting near High Wycombe, with easy access to local walks, pubs, and attractions. Guests frequently praise the welcoming host, spacious interiors, and tranquil gardens. While the property’s rustic charm and peaceful location are highlights, some areas, particularly the kitchen, bathroom, and gardens, could benefit from modernisation and maintenance. Overall, guests enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and unique features, making it a delightful choice for those seeking a cosy rural retreat.

Several guests found the property clean and tidy, especially the main living areas, but there were occasional concerns about specific items such as the fridge handle and some maintenance issues. The overall impression is generally positive, though a few reviews mention areas that could be improved.

The location is widely praised for its scenic countryside, proximity to Penn village, Beaconsfield, and local pubs, as well as easy access to London. Some guests found the property difficult to locate due to unclear directions, but the setting itself is highly regarded.

Guests appreciate the spaciousness and character of the barn, with comfortable living areas. However, there are repeated mentions of uncomfortable beds and dated bathrooms, which affected some stays. The property is warm and cosy, especially in colder weather.

The property offers a well-equipped kitchen and beautiful gardens, but several guests note that both the kitchen and bathroom are tired and in need of updating. Issues with lighting, broken fixtures, and unkempt outdoor areas were also mentioned.

The host is frequently described as welcoming and helpful, and some guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, and fresh milk on arrival. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

What an absolutely delightful place to stay. The barn suite was such lovely space to be in surrounded by nature. The property is an old converted barn so it is a little dated, but don't let that put you off. It has such a lovely energy about the place and the owner was so welcoming and friendly. Check-in was easy, I hadn't read the instructions properly but when I called for assistance the call was answered straight away and the lady on the other end let me know what I needed to do. I absolutely loved the place and will definitely be booking to come again. Lots of lovely little touches like coffee, tea, some fresh milk in the fridge. The furniture although vintage was clean and the place had a lovely smell when I arrived. Highly recommended.

Welcomed by the owner, who was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was very warm, very clean and cosy, the lounge and sleeping area were very impressive with beautiful open beams, and comfy furniture, the only thing that let it down was the kitchen it looked really tired and really needs updating, it would of been handy to have an oven as well Sadly all the gardens were untidy and overgrown having said that it didn’t spoil our stay and would return again.
