Dating from the early 18th century, it is a lovely country house for families or anyone who enjoys walking. The hall leads to a choice of two elegant bay-windowed sitting rooms, one with a cosy open fire and both with a TV, perfect for keeping all the family happy. In true country style, you have a big kitchen to enjoy sociable meals beside the jolly red Rayburn. Handily, there is a downstairs bedroom for anyone who doesn't wish to climb the stairs to the four other bedrooms, or right up to the top of the house and the comfy sixth bedroom under the eaves with its charming ancient rafters. Neatly at the front is a fenced garden and at the back you have a sheltered courtyard for family barbecues. Beyond the courtyard you will find a lawn garden and paddock, sometimes shared with the friendly owner whose house is across the courtyard plus grazing sheep, goats and pigs. A games barn is a fun place for the children, complete with table tennis, badminton and boules. For more sporting action, there is golf nearby and of course the lovely hills of the Quantocks and Exmoor to walk, cycle and sightsee, as well as footpaths from the village. Dunster is a pretty little village to explore, with its hilltop castle, and Minehead is a splendid traditional seaside resort for buckets and spades and a ride on the steam railway. Elmfield is a handsome place for families to gather and enjoy the Somerset hills and coast.

Watchet is a delightful, small Somerset harbour town with a maritime history going back over two millennia, where visitors may enjoy the variety of quaint shops on offer and watch the boats in the marina.
