Amors Cottage is exquisitely located in the depths of the Somerset town of Bruton. Spend your mornings exploring the medieval High Street with its historic alleyways, and independent shops and cafes. Just make sure you pop into the renowned ‘At The Chapel’ to sample its fresh lunch menu, on site bakery and wine store. Its wood fired pizzas are infamous. Once refueled you might just be tempted to brave the stepping-stones over the babbling river Brue on your way to the internationally renowned Hauser and Wirth modern art gallery. On Friday and Saturday nights, you’ll find the Roth bar and grill the perfect place for dining and drinking. It’s even more magical during the summer months when you can sit outside under the canopy.

Step through the little gothic gate into the pretty private courtyard and you’ll discover the perfect boutique bolt-hole. This unique cottage sleeps 4 on 3 levels and is a terraced hillside town-house. The character and style is sumptuous and warm and cleverly fuses modernism with character originality; wooden floors, brick hearth, original wooden windows and exposed wood. Upstairs you’ll find the breath-taking master bedroom where you can soak in the opulent roll-top bath or just gaze out onto the hypnotic hilltop folly to the south and beautiful church to the north. Double sinks complement the room. The second smaller double is also unique with attractive ensuite shower and WC. The lure of the cosy lounge is hard to resist as the log-fire flickers in the background , you will really start to relax. Look out for Ted the neighbouring ginger cat who will also probably pop into the garden at some point.

Bedroom 1 (sleeps 2) king sized double bed and hanging space. Double sinks and roll-top bath (in the room). Views over the town and hills beyond.

Bedroom 2 (sleeps 2) double bed. En-suite shower and WC.
