A beautifully presented lodge, well furnished and in a great location to access plenty of places of interest. The site itself is small (which is what we wanted), and very well kept with well maintained grounds and ample parking. The gated secure entry system is great and wine & chocs on arrival a bonus! Some previous reviews have mentioned traffic noise but this was not an issue for us. The beds are comfortable, however, the light from small windows directly above twin beds disturbs sleep (we had to block the light using towels). As others have said, some extra cutlery and plates/dishes etc would be helpful and more environmentally friendly to avoid over use of the dishwasher. There were no serving dishes at all and a lack of some basic utensils (kitchen tongs, spatula etc) which made catering difficult at times. These are minor points which did not spoil the enjoyment of our holiday in what was overall lovely accommodation and would not detract from us booking in the future. We were however quite surprised there were specific instructions for the dishwasher to emptied before departure - this is very difficult when you have to give a family breakfast, pack up, and comply with requests to empty bins, strip beds and be out of the lodge by 9am. We agree that the dishes should be left clean but can't see why cleaners cannot empty the dishwasher once the cycle has finished after departure in view of the unusually early departure time stipulated. It did seem that the owners have not reviewed their position now that the majority of COVID related restrictions have been lifted. At this price point we would not ordinarily expect to have to perform so many 'duties' ourselves (and feel the option of towels to be included should now be offered). Nonetheless, a lovely holiday in great accommodation and conveniently located - thank you!

Excellent accommodation, just like a home from home. Large rooms, well equipt kitchen and lovely quiet site with just 6 lodges. Nice and private with key coded entry system. We would highly recommend. Very handy for days out, 5 minutes in car to Cheddar Gorge or easy 30 minute walk.

We were as family of six adults stopping for 7 nights. All of the arrangement were straightforward. The lodge is amazing. It is so clean and fitted out to such a high standard. No fishfinger beds here. The beds are all full size with high quality mattresses that meant we all had the best nights sleep ever on holiday. The site is very well maintained and we would not hesitate to stop again. It was only a 22 minute walk to the bottom of the gorge and a short walk around the reservoir. It was a shame the caves were not open but we still took on the gorge walk. We also spent a morning at Wookie hole and then went onto Wells. We had a fabulous week
