This is an elegant new build property (2021), nestled into the hillside of the Gyrn, located near the village of Llansilin on the Welsh/English border. Yr Hen Feudy at Pentre Farm is a spacious conversion, sleeping up to six with three en-suite bedrooms, making it a perfect choice for larger families or groups of friends looking to relax in a rural countryside setting.
The large well-equipped kitchen is very well presented with all the modern appliances to make your mealtimes very easy. It includes an open plan dining area with floor to ceiling windows giving a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding hills. The living room is lovely and spacious to accommodate everyone, with a log burner to enjoy and relax in front of, along with patio doors leading onto the private garden and a large window that captures those stunning views.
The first of the three bedrooms is situated on the ground floor, comprising of twin beds and en-suite shower room. Enjoy underfloor heating throughout. Upstairs are the two larger bedrooms, with one kingsize bed with floor to ceiling window and en-suite, and a double bedroom with en-suite. Outside there are many options to enjoy the extensive garden and paved patio areas, with outdoor furniture to relax and unwind.
Yr Hen Feudy at Pentre Farm offers off road parking, accommodating enough spaces for all staying. Situated at the end of a gated lane, it is in the perfect location for exploring Wales and Shropshire with numerous places of interest an easy drive away, whilst walks and cycle trails are right on the doorstep. Pistyll Rhaeadr (Waterfall) Llanrhaeadr, one of the Seven wonders of Wales is within a 20-minute drive away, along with Powys castle, Chirk castle, Erddig, Llangollen with white water rafting and horse drawn canal barges.
Don’t forget to visit the welcoming pub in the village, serving food and only a half an hour walk away, and there is also a children’s play area in the village. The historic city of Chester and its zoo is an easy drive away, as is the lovely town of Shrewsbury. With all this on offer, Yr Hen Feudy at Pentre Farm promises an idyllic holiday retreat for all to enjoy.

A wonderful cottage and really lovely hosts! The cottage is beautifully built, spacious, homely and clean. Our hosts, Malc and Sara, were really helpful and welcoming. They informed us about a road that was closed before our arrival and provided a map of an alternative route. Their information folder was really useful, we used several of their recommendations and found them worth a visit. The views are spectacular! I would definitely recommend a stay. A fantastic holiday. Thank you!

Brilliant holiday spent at Pentre Farm in beautiful sunshine every day. We certainly lucked out with the weather. The cottage is lovely and very well equipped. Malc was very friendly and helpful but not intrusive in any way. An ideal chilling out location with nothing but beautiful scenery to admire and enjoy. Having breakfast every day looking out at the hills and fields was bliss. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a holiday in that area. Easy enough access to lots of different places to visit.

What a fabulous place to stay. We were a party of 6 friends away for a long weekend.The cottage was clean and comfortable, Malc the owner was extremely nice and helpful, but not intrusive. We had everything we needed and more ! Very comfortable beds and very good showers indeed. The fire pit was great to sit round in the evenings after a day of sight seeing. We visited Chirk Castle, Oswestry, Hiorseshoe Falls and had a lovely meal and walk at The Boathouse in Ellesmere. This is a place we have already decided to return to for a longer stay.
