Enjoying a lovely location in the small village of Penybontfawr is this detached stone cottage, Rhoslan, sleeping four guests and providing homely accommodation in North Wales. Resting near the village of Llanrhaeadr-Ym-Mochnant and the famous waterfall, Pistyll Rhaeadr, along with being within easy reach of Lake Vrynwy and the Snowdonia National Park, Rhoslan is a fabulous base for your adventures in North Wales. Step inside and be welcomed into the traditional dining room, with a dining table and chairs for four on top of the flagstone flooring, you can gather for evening meals here and feel the warmth from the woodburning stove lying within the imposing exposed stone inglenook. Discover a lovely sitting room in the next room with an attractive blue sofa and armchair offering a snug location to wind down before the TV beneath the rustic ceiling beams, with light coming in from the deep set cottage windows. A short stroll will bring you to the local pub, The Railway Inn, while there is also a local convenience shop and Post Office where you can pick up any essentials. Begin exploring the area by heading to the stunning natural landmark of Pistyll Rhaeadr, the staggeringly large 240 ft waterfall in the midst of scenic woodland, continuing on to follow the Berwyn Ridge Walk taking you to the highest peak in the Berwyns and the highest point in Denbighshire, Cadair Berwyn, as well as Cadair Bronwen, offering the chance to soak up the spectacular Welsh scenery. Take a trip to Lake Vrynwy for a day of exciting activities with the local activity organiser Bethania Adventure, offering the chance to go kayaking, canoeing, sailing or windsurfing on the picturesque lake, while also providing options for those who prefer dry land too, with abseiling and archery, there's something for everyone! More fun can be had over at Bala Lake too which rests just inside the Snowdonia National Park where you can find a wealth of excellent walks to follow.
