With much charm and character, it provides an idyllic holiday home for exploring the wonderful east coast resorts and the spectacular countryside of the North York Moors. Step inside to a spacious and light and airy sitting room, with a painted beamed ceiling, cosy electric 'woodburner' and comfy sofas. There is a modern, well-equipped separate kitchen with a dining area to one end, where families can sit and enjoy a family meal together. Up the cottage stairs are two pretty bedrooms, the double with an additional TV and the family bathroom, boasting both a shower and a bath. Warm and inviting, this property is tastefully furnished to the highest standards, ensuring guests have a comfortable and memorable stay. A five minute walk brings you to the local amenities, just a 30 minute walk will take you to the beaches at Skinningrove which also accesses the cliff walk of the Cleveland Way on route to Saltburn-by-the-sea with its famous cliff tramway. The oldest water balanced funicular, still in operation in Great Britian. The picturesque fishing village of Staithes lies just three miles away, with its quirky and quaint cottages that tumble down towards the sea. Discover the narrow cobbled alleyways and partake in coffee and cakes on the waterfront. Children will love crabbing in the rock pools and building sandcastles on the beach. A short drive to popular Whitby is essential, with its long, sandy beaches, pretty harbour and historic Whitby Abbey perched high on the cliff top. Climb the 199 steps up to the Abbey and reward yourself on your return, with Whitby's famous fish and chips! The wide expanses of the North York Moors are on the doorstep, with many attractions, including the Danby Moors Exhibition Centre, the steam railway at Grosmont and fantastic walking. A well placed cottage for a varied and unforgettable holiday.

The cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable Christmas holiday, it is very well equipped and close to pubs and shops. Despite the wind we did quite a lot of walking and it was great returning to a hot bath and a comfortable cottage.

WiFi intermittent at best so not ideal if you rely on it. Personal preference beds too soft. Parking over road fine day to day but awkward for loading and unloading on arrival and departure. Felt uncomfortable knowing our comings and going’s were being monitored by a third party.

It was spotlessly clean on arrival and had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. Easy parking across the road and a short walk to the local shops made things very convenient, and it was a short drive to other nearby towns and villages. We also made use of the excellent bus service to and from Whitby. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
