Enjoy a stroll around Woodston Ponds Nature Reserve before heading up to Longthorpe Tower where medieval pictographs are still visible, there is also a park nearby called Princess Garden where you can have pitnic, play tennis or just enjoy a walk. A beautiful summer’s day is the perfect time to walk around Nene Park and Ferry Meadows, with little ones sure to love the sweet Ferry Meadows Miniature Railway, afterwards stopping in at Ferry Meadows Café or heading back into the centre for a wider choice of eateries and restaurants. Just outside the centre is the amazing Flag Fen Archaeology Park, an incredible 3,500 year old Bronze Age site with evidence of causeway remains and now home to reconstructed roundhouses, with another site, Must Farm Bronze Age Settlement nearby, great for any history buffs.
