From here, there is a beautifully tiled hallway with hangers, to store your coats and jackets, as well as a shoe rack to house your walking boots. Head downstairs to the lower-ground-floor kitchen/diner, hosting a range of appliances, including an electric oven and hob to prepare heart-warming meals, and a washing machine to keep your holiday attire fresh. Settle down at the dining table to savour mealtimes together and why not uncork a bottle of wine to celebrate? After a day filled with exploring, retire upstairs to the first floor; here you can melt your stresses away in the tub or enjoy a wash in the overhead shower. Adjacent, is a light an airy double with a TV and upstairs on the top floor is a double with Velux windows and its own en-suite shower room. Awaken with a home-cooked breakfast, courtesy of the kitchen appliances and a frothy coffee with the coffee machine to assist you. Head out on foot to sample a selection of cafes and eateries, as well as well-stocked shops for when you need to pick up the essentials. Explore the sprawling countryside on your doorstep, with the National Trust site of Marsden Moor and the reservoir for a peaceful stroll; if that's not for you, tee up at Marsden Golf Club. Venture into the bustling market town of Huddersfield, where The Tolson Memorial Museum is a popular destination for history buffs, while art lovers will enjoy spending time at the Stuck in the Riddle gallery. St Patrick's Church is a beautiful place of worship, and Huddersfield also has a few lovely parks for visitors to explore. A beautiful, attractive village in West Yorkshire's Colne Valley. Marsden is a historic mill community with charming stone buildings, spectacular scenery, and a lovely canal that houses the only professional theatre group that tours by Narrowboat. Marsden is home to award-winning restaurants, historic taverns, and the National Trust-owned Marsden Moor, which has been featured in television productions such as "Last of the Summer Wine" and "The League of Gentleman." Throughout the year, the hamlet holds a number of festivals and events, notably the Marsden Jazz Festival in October. Marsden is well-known among walkers, and in 2010 it was granted Walkers are Welcome status.
