About this property

This central village cottage is perfect for couples and small families wanting to stay in a Grade II listed traditional Peak District cottage. There is a popular pub and a variety of shops a short walk away.

The village of Bradwell is set within the rolling hills of the Peak District National Park. Enjoy exploring the variety of public footpaths that pass through the village, or enjoy the array of amenities on offer, including popular local pubs and shops. The villages of Hathersage (4 miles) and Hope (2 miles) offer further local amenities, including Hope railway station which makes this cottage easily accessible by both rail and road. Guests can explore the Blue John Mines and caves at nearby Castleton (3 miles) or take a hike up the famous Mam Tor. The spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell, and the stunning Chatsworth House and Gardens are all within 10 miles. Step into the hallway with space to hang your coats and store your shoes. There is a ground floor twin bedroom and a handy shower room with WC, and a nearby washing machine. Head up to the first floor where you will be welcomed into the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This impressive room offers a high ceiling and large windows which let the light flood in. The staircase is open so care must be taken at all times. The kitchen area offers an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, and microwave. There is a nearby dining table to enjoy a special meal, and plenty of comfy seating to come back and relax on in front of the roaring wood burner and Smart TV. There is a bright and airy double bedroom that offers pretty views over the village and an adjacent bathroom with a shower over a bath, sink, and WC. A short walk away across the courtyard, situated next to the owner s home is a spacious garden where a section has been reserved for holiday guests staying at this cottage. This is a great place to sit and enjoy the summer sun and a glass of something chilled, whilst overlooking the surrounding mature trees and countryside. There is off road parking for one car. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 ground floor twin bedroom. Electric oven and gas hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, and dishwasher. 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and 1 ground floor shower room with WC. Wood burner (first basket of logs provided). Smart TV in the lounge. Garden area with seating. Off road parking for 1 car. Electric charging available (chargeable to owner). Pub and shop within walking distance. Regret no young children (babes in arms welcome) due to the open staircase and an unfenced pond in the garden.
