About this property

Nestled in the heart of Glossop in Derbyshire rests this stone-fronted apartment, The Derwent. This first-floor apartment is just paces away from amenities and attractions and is settled near the wonderful Peak District National Park. Bring along your family or friends to this delightful abode, which is pet-friendly so why not bring your canine companion too? Park up on the roadside or the close-by car park before making your way through the navy-blue door. Climb up to the first floor, where you will discover the kitchen/diner, here you can rustle up heart-warming meals and there is a dishwasher, so you don't need to worry about making a mess! Settle down at the oak dining table to enjoy meals together and uncork a bottle of fizz to toast to a splendid getaway. Stepping through the property, lies the white-washed sitting room with plush sofas and a Smart TV to do the entertaining. When the sky grows dark, you can head to the tiled bathroom and melt your stresses away in the P-shaped tub or rinse off in the over-head shower. Choose between two beautifully presented bedrooms, a double with a TV and zip/link twin for flexible sleeping arrangements, also with a TV. Awaken with a steaming cup of coffee in the kitchen/diner as you ponder the adventures of the day ahead. Take a stroll down the bustling high street where will find a selection of eateries. Bring along your clubs to test your swing at Glossop & District Golf Club, stroll the lovely gardens of Manor Park or the beautiful Bottoms Reservoir. The Derwent is a superb base for exploring the glorious Peak District National Park, pack your walking gear for a muddy hike, tour the remains of Peveril Castle and enjoy a guided tour underground in the Peak Cavern. A scenic drive will lead you to the spa town of Buxton, home to an Edwardian Opera House, Buxton Museum & Art Gallery to unveil the past and The Pavilion Gardens for a lovely picnic spot. For memories you will cherish, secure a stay at The Derwent.

Glossop is a thriving old mill town in Derbyshire's northwestern corner, surrounded by breathtaking Peak District landscape. There are numerous stores, taverns, and restaurants in the town, as well as a pay-per-play golf course. Manor Park, which is close by, was previously the grounds of Glossop Hall, which was once owned by the Dukes of Norfolk. With bowling greens, a semi-natural woodland, a children's play area, and tennis courts, it's now a great place for a summer picnic.
