Squirrel Cottage is highly praised for its cosy charm, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches. Guests love the snug with skylights, underfloor heating, and private hot tub. It's well-situated for exploring the Peak District and local amenities, with some noting the convenience of nearby transport links. The property's unique features and attentive host contribute to a delightful stay, though a few guests mention minor issues with temperature and parking.
Guests consistently report that the cottage is spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming stay.
The location is frequently commended for its proximity to local walks, pubs, and easy access to Manchester and Sheffield. Some guests mention traffic noise, but it's generally seen as a great base for exploring.
Comfort is highlighted with mentions of cosy spaces and comfortable beds. However, one review cites the cottage as being uncomfortably cold, slightly impacting the overall comfort score.
Facilities like the hot tub, monsoon shower, and well-equipped kitchen are popular among guests. A few suggestions for minor improvements are made, but overall, the facilities are well-received.
While guests appreciate the amenities and the host's responsiveness, there are no specific mentions of gifts, so it's not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on the provided reviews.

Fabulous little cottage with everything you need. Great use of space inside and out: e.g. mezzanine off the master bedroom with freestanding bath, sofa and tv; e.g. the Hot Tub. Brilliant location for long and short hikes in the High Peaks, either from the door, or by a short drive into the Peaks. Great selection of pubs (unbelieveable number!!) and restaurants within 10 mins walk. Thanks Lee.

Comfortable and clean and equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The hot tub was a great bonus.

It’s a lovely house, no doubt at all, location is excellent but there were things that should be mentioned, the sitting area and hot tub area is nice but is not private due to it being an end terrace and we had several people per day walking straight through the garden. Half of the garden was untidy, un mowed patchy grass lawn, also building materials dominating the scenery, parking isn’t ideal if thou have a large vehicle.several blown light bulbs in the house, no sofa, just two armchairs that are not the best, but sufficed. The bath area is very nice but very unpractical. Would we stay again? No. Would I recommend? Yes but shop around first as we found better options locally
