Glossop, a thriving former mill town, is located in the northwest of Derbyshire and is encircled by breathtaking Peak District landscape. The town has a wide variety of stores, bars, and eateries in addition to a golf course with a pay-per-play system. Glossop Hall, which belonged to the Dukes of Norfolk, previously had its grounds in the area now known as Manor Park. With tennis courts, a children's play area, a semi-natural woodland, and bowling greens, it now makes a great summertime picnic location. Glossop's location near the Peak District National Park, which has a variety of activities for tourists, cyclists, and hikers, makes it a perfect place to explore. These include the serene Hayfield, which is just under five miles away and well-liked by trekkers for its proximity to Kinder Scout.

Slight damp smell when we first got there but didn't smell it when we left and came back the following day. Bed was comfy, bathroom was done to a nice standard. Beautiful Howdens kitchen with everything you would need for a short stay. Communication with host was good, would stay here again for a nice few days away.
