About this property

Nestled in the charming, Peak District town of Chapel-en-le-Frith, with a plethora of amenities on the doorstep and a network of walking and cycling trails to enjoy, is Chapel Mews Cottage. This attractive, stone-built cottage is located at the end of a terrace on Market Street and is well-suited to families, couples or a group of friends looking to tour the local area. Feel welcomed into the spacious, open-plan living room and fully relax among the quality fixtures and fittings with your loved ones, getting cosy in front of the fire on a cool winter's evening. There is laminate flooring throughout and there is a TV with Sky Q, so you can catch up on some of your favourite shows. Get the family together around the dining table and tuck into a delicious meal prepared in the modern-style kitchen before unwinding with a bottle of wine and late night chats about your adventures so far. Choose to retire to the bedrooms upstairs, both with chest of drawers and bedside tables with reading lamps, while the master room offers dual aspect over the front of the property. Make the most of a long summer's evening and sit out on the decked patio at the rear with a chilled drink in hand or head into the town for something to eat at one of the local restaurants and pubs, just a short stroll away. You have the interesting, spa town of Buxton nearby where you can explore its beautiful Pavillion Gardens, while Bakewell, home of the Bakewell Pudding, offers strolls along the River Wye, a bustling farmer's market and The Old House Museum. Pay a visit to the stately home of Haddon Hall or the stunning house and gardens of Chatsworth House, and you will also be impressed by the breath-taking scenery surrounding the village of Castleton, dominated by the ruins of Peveril Castle. This is a splendid base to choose for your next holiday in the Peak District.

Chapel-en-le-Frith is known as the Capital of the Peaks, with its cobbled market place and historic old stocks. Just four miles away lies the spa town of Buxton, famous not only for its therapeutic spring water, but also for its Pavillion Gardens and Victorian Opera House. A short drive away are an abundance of attractions including the Blue John Cavern and the castle at Castleton as well as many stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Lyme Hall.
