Kingfisher Cottage is delightful, comfortable and well equipped - an ideal choice for friends staying together, couples or families. It boasts an idyllic, tranquil location right on the Limestone Way. There are stunning views of Bradford Dale from inside the cosy cottage or the suntrap patio. A medieval clapper bridge crosses the brook nearby from where you can spot water voles, dippers and kingfishers.

Explore the alleyways of picturesque cottages in Youlgrave as well as the traditional church, village cricket ground, shops and pubs. From delicious freshly baked bread to hearty pub meals, washed down with real ales, it's just a perfect Peak District village. Walks of varied terrain radiate from the cottage doorstep. Discover the charming waterside houses at Alport and the incredible scenery in Lathkill Dale. Cyclists shouldn't miss the brilliant views from the Monsal Trail!

Nearby Bakewell is a pretty market town with everything you could wish for. Attractions like Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and fun-filled Gulliver's Kingdom are close by. The Victorian Spa towns of Buxton and Matlock offer impressive architecture and a variety of entertainment. It takes less than an hour to drive to Alton Towers!

Cottage facilities:

A superb beamed lounge, looking out across the river, with electric stove, comfortable sofas, T.V., DVD ,CD/tape/radio and Wi Fi. A brilliant dining kitchen with lovely colours and lighting, hardwood floor, hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and substantial oak table and chairs. A utility room with automatic washer/dryer. A lovely double bedroom with oak bed and furniture, en-suite shower room with shower and W.C. super linen and towels. A similar quality but smaller twin bedroom. A traditional panelled bathroom with bath /shower over and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, fuel and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a small front garden and a paved rear patio with furniture. Parking is available on the quiet lane right outside the cottage. There is a 'Plantlock' providing secure parking for cycles. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
