About this property

A stunning two bedroom cottage close to the market town of Wirksworth.

This cottage is an absolute hidden gem, overlooking the lovely little town of Wirksworth. When you arrive you’re greeted with a beautiful property standing proud within a delightful garden. Inside, you’ll be delighted to enter each room as the whole cottage is decorated immaculately with attention to detail playing an important part. The lounge, with it’s classy décor and roaring log burning stove, will definitely make you feel comfy and cosy. There’s a well equipped and fitted kitchen with a light airy dining room. To finish it off the bedrooms radiate luxury, as does the roll top bath in the family bathroom.

Wirksworth is a wonderful little town to stay in, with fantastic traditional pubs, good restaurants, and local interesting shops just waiting for you to explore. The Northern Lights cinema is an independent cinema where you can catch a film if you fancy it, or put your walking boots on and head out on one of the many scenic walks around the Peaks. A ride on the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is an enjoyable experience or hire some bikes and cycle along the High Peak Trail. If you’re wanting to travel further afield then Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the National Tramway Museum are not too far at all.

When you return to base for the evening, sit outside in the lovely garden patio and enjoy a glass of something special while reminiscing about the day’s adventures.

We spent Christmas week here and the property is well laid out downstairs and comfortable and was thoughtfully decorated for Christmas. Good beds made for comfortable nights along with a warm spacious bathroom. Very helpful owner when we reported an issue.
