About this property

Sunnylea is an utterly wonderful cottage! As soon as you walk through the door and see the colours and textures, exposed stone walls and stone flagged floors, lovely rugs and super drapes, 'sink into it' sofas and mellow pine furniture, the classy kitchen and bathroom, and a glowing log burning stove to top it all, you will realize this is a really special place.

Set back from the high street in the heart of Tideswell the cottage's location is just as good. It's but a short walk to the traditional village shops, tea rooms and local pubs. With your walking boots on you might like to wander by the beautiful river Wye in nearby Millers Dale or set out across the wild Peaks on the Limestone Way.

Cottage, village and countryside are great but what about the rest. Bakewell with its super shops and market and Buxton with its famous Opera House and spooky Poole's Cavern are a must for everyone. The children will dream of storming Peveril Castle, riding Peak Rail's steam trains and daring each other in Chatsworth's adventure playground before waking as wide-eyed as the owls in the Chestnut Owl and Otter Sanctuary.

A fantastic beamed lounge with exposed stone walls, stone flagged floor, quality sofas, mellow pine furniture, glowing log burning stove, T.V. and DVD. A vaulted garden room with leather suite, flat screen T.V., DVD and glowing log burning stove. A lovely dining room of matching quality and character. A superb kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A utility room with automatic washer/dryer. An attractive double bedroom with pine furniture. A similar twin bedroom. A classy bathroom with bath, separate shower and W.C. A downstairs W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is an attractive terraced garden with furniture. Ample parking is available on the quiet lane right outside the cottage. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas & New Year.
