Could not fault that at all. Lack of recycling facilities was a concern- I was told by someone at the hotel that everything went into one bin. I ended up taking the recycling to the recycling centre in Ashbourne. Main letdown was with lack of cooking dishes - there was nothing suitable for cooking roast dinners, pasta bakes etc. Thankfully we took our slow cooker but ended up having to buy a cooking dish. The knives for food preparation were not particularly effective.

The apartment was not the one described on the Sykes Website but it is a recently refurbished ground floor apartment to an OK standard but lacking finishing touches like cleaning the paint splashes off the furniture and removing the excess grout on the shower tiles. What disappointed us was the cleanliness of the apartment especially the one shelf to store clothes was covered in dirt and dust. The Kitchen only has very basic supplies making cooking at the apartment difficult and we ended up eating out apart from breakfast. There is an oven but no oven gloves, trays or oven proof dishes making the oven pretty useless. There is a portable 2 ring induction hob but the saucepan supplied would not work on the induction hob. There is no chopping board, no cleaning cloths, no tea towels etc. There are no guidebooks and very little information about the apartment or surrounding area. This has the potential to be a good property but at the moment it is well below the standard we are used to with Sykes cottages.

Staff in the hotel were very helpful and ensured that we had a comfortable stay, having a bar and restaurant on site was a bonus.
