Wirksworth sits less than two miles away and provides a much wider range of places to eat, drink and shop, as well as boasting a quaint little cinema. Also nearby is the magnificent town of Matlock, with its array of amenities and the fun-packed Gulliver's Kingdom. Nature lovers can wander through the Peak District National Park, here you can take in breath-taking scenery from a number of cycling and walking paths. Middleton is a village just outside of the Peak District and has two pubs. Nearby Wirksworth has shops and other amenities. The surrounding countryside is a walker's and cyclist's paradise, with the High Peak Cycle Trail nearby. Nearby Matlock provides a range of shops and pubs, whilst National Trust properties and museums fill the area.
