The Snug is a well-received cottage in Matlock, praised for its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the proximity to a friendly local pub and the town, despite the steep hill. The property is equipped for a comfortable stay, with a well-stocked kitchen and a warm welcome, including thoughtful touches for both guests and pets.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently describe The Snug as spotlessly clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is highly regarded for its beautiful views and proximity to local amenities and the pub. However, the steep hill and parking challenges slightly affect the score.

Reviews often mention the property as cosy, comfortable, and welcoming, with a comfortable bed and a cosy atmosphere, contributing to a high comfort level.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely patio. Some minor issues with maintenance, such as a noisy fridge and a lack of certain kitchen utensils, slightly lower the score.

Guests note the thoughtful touches like welcome packs for both humans and pets, although it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Unfortunately my asthma was affected by the feather cushions in the property as I mentioned on my previous feedback last year, May 2022. My husband moved them to the chair that we didn't use, but just being in the property was enough to affect me.
