Set on a peaceful private estate, within reaching distance of the town of Darley Dale, you will find The Birdy Perch. Surrounded by glorious green landscapes with fantastic woodland walks right on its doorstep, this idyllic detached cottage is the perfect choice for a romantic retreat for two. As you step inside this quaint and homely dwelling, be greeted by a pretty compact kitchen with gorgeous pastel hues and characterful farmhouse furnishings, a wonderful space to cook up a feast, before taking your seats at the breakfast bar and delighting in a delicious bottle of bubbly. From here an attractive bedroom with king-size bed awaits you, adorned with high vaulted oak ceilings and beautiful floral patterns whilst boasting a plush fabric sofa and traditional electric stove, where you can spend many evenings cosied up to your significant other as you watch your favourite shows or a captivating movie on the Smart TV. Make the most of warmer weather with breakfast alfresco out in the garden, or grab your waterproofs and pull on your walking boots as you kick-start the day with a thrilling hike through the peaks to Nine Ladies Stone Circle. Uncover Stanton Moor and Cork Stone, or see the six stones of Doll Tor, before a walk to Cratcliffe. Spot the Earl Grey Tower as you wander Ladygrove, or travel to the edge of Bakewell for a fun-filled afternoon at the imposing stately home of Chatsworth House. Cross the historic Bakewell Bridge to the centre of the town and indulge in a tasty treat in one of the many idyllic tearooms, before a stroll along the River Wye. Take a scenic ride on the Heights of Abraham cable cars, or head underground to The Great Masson Cavern. Learn of the towns history at Peak District Mining Museum, or tour the Victorian museum and aquarium of Matlock Bath Aquarium and arcade. Avid walkers should be sure to hike to the peak of Chrome Hill, where you will be rewarded with spectacular views across the luscious terrains. The owners host The Exile Festival on their land around the end of June each year, the owner has agreed guests will have free access to the festival during their stay. The town of Darley Dale rests in the foothills of the Peak District National Park, offering a fantastic base for families and hikers alike. There are a number of handy stores, charming pubs serving delicious hot meals, and a handful of cafés and restaurants to dine in. The towns of Matlock and Bakewell lie within easy touring distance, providing wonderful days out, whilst further afield Chesterfield and Mansfield are not to be missed.
