River Cottage in Matlock is praised for its lovely location, ample space, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings and dog-friendly garden, though some note the road noise and lack of WiFi. The local area offers wonderful walks, charming pubs, and is within easy reach of shops by car.
Guests have described the cottage as very clean and welcoming, indicating high standards of cleanliness.
The cottage is well-located for walks and exploring the local area, with convenient parking and nearby pubs. However, some guests found the road noise and narrow footpaths to be minor drawbacks.
Most guests found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, although one guest mentioned the beds were too hard for their preference.
The property is equipped with a good-sized kitchen and bathroom, but the absence of WiFi and potential for dogs to escape the garden suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.
