A beautiful little cottage by the side of the Bentley Brook as is splashes through the old Matlock conservation area.
This quaint country cottage is overlooking the babbling Bentley Brook, which splashes down the hillside into Matlock. The cottage was formerly part of the malt store for the local mill and it’s been renovated into a brilliantly comfortable and cosy holiday accommodation. The lounge is snug and homely and the spacious farmhouse style kitchen/diner is just fabulous. The attractive bedrooms are just right to get some well earned rest.
You’re not far from Matlock Green where you’ll be able to gather items from the shop for your stay, or venture into the spa town of Matlock to browse the array of shops, cafes or dine out at one of the friendly local pubs or restaurants. Put on your walking boots and choose one of the many local footpaths to explore, leading you through Starkholmes’ conservation area, Lumsdale’s ‘industrial revolution’ valley or climb up on Riber hills and take in the most amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Don’t forget to grab a ride on the steam train on the Peak Railway leaving from Matlock or experience the magic of Matlock Bath’s illuminations admired by Queen Victoria.
Settle down back at Maltsters for the evening with a glass of something special on the patio and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere surrounding you.

A cosy traditional cottage with a lovely, spacious kitchen diner. Very comfortable beds, too! Within easy reach of many popular attractions and then within walking distance of town facilities, restaurants, pubs and Hall Leys Park.

Lovely cottage, very close to Matlock and Matlock Bath, would certainly stay again

Had another very enjoyable week. Tries the Bluebell at South Wingfield and would recommend it. Thanks Penny, for keeping the cottage so clear.
