Upon entering the property you are welcomed by a cosy sitting room featuring a wood burner. After a busy day exploring you can sit back and relax in front of the TV. Wander through into the delightful and spacious kitchen/diner with its stunning original floor tiles, the gas wood burner brings a sense of comfort while the rustic wooden kitchen is designed to set you up perfectly for your Derbyshire cottage break. A large map, wall mounted, enables you to plan your next adventure. Set over three floors, the first floor offers a delightful double bedroom, a stylish twin room and a pristine, all-white family bathroom with shower. The twin room, with beautiful views of Matlock town, the hills beyond and Riber Castle, has a staircase leading to the converted loft. The loft room is a spacious double with a contemporary feel, its own TV and a light-filled Velux window. To the back of the property there is a stone outhouse perfect for storing bicycles, boots and coats. Up a set of stone steps, you will find a serene raised patio where you can kick back and relax together. This cottage reflects the history of John Smedley who is a key figure in Matlock history, with features such as the cotton mill bobbins. Take the stroll into the centre of wonderful Matlock, a town offering a wide variety of places to eat, drink and shop as well as Lumsdale Falls, the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver's Kingdom on offer close by. The neighbouring Matlock Bath is a fabulous spot to visit. Venture into the Peak District National Park for awe-inspiring walking and cycling, you can also easily find the marvellous market town of Bakewell. Use this charming terraced cottage as the base for your much-needed retreat in the Peak District.

Matlock, with the neighbouring Matlock Bath, sits on the southeastern edge of the Peak District National Park. The town offers a wide choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, while on the outskirts is the popular Gulliver's Kingdom theme park. Outdoor lovers can head to the Peak District, which also hosts the fascinating market town of Bakewell.

2 well-behaved dogs welcome but due to the cottage being in a terrace where residents have access, they are required to be on leads in both the front and back garden at all times.

The Cottage is situated high on Matlock bank which is away from any risk of flooding with lovely views across the valley.
