About this property

About this Pub Accommodation

Set on the Chatsworth Estate, Beeley is one of those picturesque unspoilt country villages and The Devonshire Arms is one of those picturesque country inns at the heart of village life. But with a difference! It offers the charm and character of an historic inn with a warm and comfortable interior full of oak beams and stone crannies. Make your way through to the brasserie and be amazed at the contrast of the startlingly different décor with panoramic windows overlooking the village, the contemporary bar, the glass fronted wine store and colourful furnishings. And for the ultimate escape, why not stay in one of our eight stylish cottage bedrooms.

Chef Patron Alan Hill has a background firmly rooted in the preparation and cooking of the finest ingredients to award winning standards. With an eye on the seasons and being able to call on some of the freshest ingredients from local well known suppliers the compliments from our customers just keep flowing. Our wines are exceptional. A purpose built wine room displays some of the exciting labels that have been selected from the award winning Devonshire Cellar and there are some real gems to savour. Plus a good choice of value for money, easy drinking wines are available, several by the glass.

More about staying here

Our eight rooms are full of chic and character having been designed and the decor chosen by the Duchess of Devonshire and the fabrics having been prepared by the Seamstresses at Chatsworth. Four rooms are located in the inn and four are just a few seconds stroll along the garden path in Brookside House. The rooms are all named after some of the picturesque local dales which you are able visit during your stay. Large comfortable beds, luxury towels, wrap around bathrobes and freshly ground coffee on the tea tray add to the attention to detail in room. You will also find there those little touches to make your stay special including original botanical watercolours by Lady Emma Tennant, sister to The Duke of Devonshire.
