Snaptrip says

Croft Cottage in the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. The enclosed garden is a hit with dog owners, and the property's quiet village location is ideal for relaxing breaks with good access to local walks and amenities. Some guests noted issues with space for larger groups and maintenance matters, but overall experiences were positive.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and tidy, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition upon arrival. However, a few guests mentioned finding dog hair and experiencing issues with dampness, which slightly affects the overall cleanliness score.

The cottage's location in a quiet village surrounded by beautiful countryside is highly regarded. Guests appreciated the proximity to local walks and nearby towns, although some were disappointed by the village pub's limited opening hours.

Guests frequently complimented the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere of the cottage. However, some found the living room cramped for larger groups and the sofas uncomfortable, which impacts the comfort score.

The well-stocked kitchen and effective shower were appreciated, but there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken vacuum cleaner, water leaks, and non-functioning bathroom fan. These comments suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests were pleased with the welcome gifts and found the cottage well-equipped, there is not enough consistent information across the reviews to accurately assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of guaranteed amenities or gifts.

Drive was tight but did manage to get a pickup truck up the drive to the opening at the top. The cottage seems very run down and needs some care. We woke a couple mornings to pools of water on the living room floor that appeared to come from around the fireplace stone. This was reported the maintenance man but he did seem concerned. Just made it sound like it was a normal problem. Also there was a huge damp patch on the main bedroom wall that sat wet the whole time we were there. The windows were running in water the whole time and moldy. We left early as all developed horrible coughs and put it down the condition of the cottage.

My only complaint would be the lack of newspaper and kindling wood to start the fire ...we had to obtain our own..disappointing. A picture of the house from the main street would be more helpful than the one supplied on the website.
