Since the late 17th-century construction of the resort, Matlock and Matlock Bath, two prominent Peak District towns, have drawn tourists to the region. The Matlocks, which are located in the lovely wooded gorge of the River Derwent, provide a variety of stores, bars, and eateries in addition to a number of attractions like Gulliver's Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. From the cable car that transports guests to the Heights of Abraham, a fantastic location for the whole family with its showcaves, nature walk, water gardens, and Owl Maze, tourists may take in magnificent views of the gorge. The High Peak Bike Route begins south of the town, while the National Tramway Museum at Crich is only a short drive away. The market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and Park lie to the north and shouldn't be missed!

    a bit too warm if anything, had to keep turning the thermostat down to 16, every few hours. Very useful to have a ground floor toilet available. kitchen table was a little tricky to keep clean with the grooves in the top. Only thing we really missed was having a cafetiere. we'd be happy to stay there again.

    We were able to park the car and not use again all weekend. Definitely recommend.

    As others have mentioned though, it probably is not ideal for light sleepers between the church bells and road noise.
