Undercroft Cottage is a cosy and comfortable cottage carefully restored to create a lovely holiday retreat. Its lounge gathered around the glowing log burning stove, well equipped kitchen, attractive bedrooms, one en-suite, super bathroom and wonderful garden make it a fantastic base for exploring the Peak District whether you are here for a walking, cycling or sightseeing holiday.

Foolow is a quiet little village snuggled up under the dramatic Hucklow Edge and surrounded by beautiful rolling Peak District countryside. Undercroft is in a jumble of stone cottages that make up the village and is just a stone's throw from the super duck pond with its six white ducks and the fantastic Bulls Head pub renowned for its hearty meals and great ales.

You will perhaps be tempted just to laze around the cottage having breakfast in the wonderful garden. For lunch make for the Bulls Head where the food is really great. All the Peak District's attractions - from Chatsworth House and the Derwent Valley Dams to the National Tramway Museum and Matlock Bath's cable cars - are there for you to visit if you go exploring. Save an evening to visit the Barrel Inn at Bretton, high up on the Edge, and watch the sun set over the cottage.

Cottage facilities:

A cosy, beamed lounge with leather suite, T.V., DVD, WiFi and glowing log burning stove in the gritstone fireplace. An adjoining dining area with solid oak table and chairs. A well fitted kitchen with small breakfast table and chairs, cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, and automatic washer. A spacious bedroom with a double bed and a double sofa bed. A second bedroom with 'zip n link' twin beds, that can be made into a king-size bed, and an en-suite shower room. A downstairs bathroom with bath / shower over and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating off the log burning stove, electric heating, power and logs for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is an extensive landscaped rear garden with summerhouse and furniture. Easy parking is available on the quiet lane right outside. Pets and smoking in the cottage are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas & New Year.
