Hideaway Cottage is an attractive cottage hidden away on a quiet lane on the lovely wooded hillside of the Derwent Valley. The cottage has very comfortable, quality accommodation but it's the incredible walks and fantastic views, right from the cottage door, that you will remember forever. It's just an idyllic little place.

Sit on the cottage balcony above the fishpond and share your breakfast with the myriad of wild birds. Explore the lovely, mature garden that tumbles down the hillside. Wander off along the numerous woodland walks or onto open moorland before calling at the Devonshire Arms in Beeley or the Grouse and Claret in Rowsley for a scrumptious lunch. Save a few afternoons for exploring the numerous local attractions.  

There are many interesting and exciting places to visit literally within a few minutes drive. Caudwell Mill's craft centre, the Red House carriage museum and Peak Rail's steam trains are down in the valley. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are not to be missed. Bakewell with its famous 'puddings' and Monday market is another must. Get back in time for a glass of wine on the patio as you gaze in wonder at the magnificent sunset over the Peak District hills.

Cottage facilities:

An attractive little lounge with leather suite, flat screen T.V. and DVD. . An external balcony with furniture and fantastic views across the valley. An adjoining dining kitchen with table and chairs, quality units, ceramic hob, oven, microwave and fridge. A utility room with freezer, automatic washer and tumble dryer. A pretty double bedroom. An attractive shower room with corner shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Heating and power are included. There are sunny patios to front and rear, both with furniture, together with shared access to the owner's extensive wooded garden. Parking for one car is available. Pets are allowed by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas & New Year.
